Let's call her Deanna.
Deanna came to an agency I used to work for to launch her business coaching program.
She had great photos,
.....an amazing case study,
.............had just bought some funnel software,
and was raring to go!
It was time to truly live that laptop lifestyle and launch her $2,000 program to the masses!
Nevermind that she hadn't installed her Facebook pixel yet, didn't have it on her website either.
But she had over 5000 likes on her Facebook business page!
......with people from Bangladesh making up the majority
.............and she had only 100 people on her email list.
Can you say red flags?
I raised my concerns to her and to the agency after my assessment of her digital credibility.
First of all, she wasn't having it. She knew what she was doing. She'd already run some of her own ads before (that "like" campaign to gain thousands of fans from Bangladesh that ruined her pixel data was the one ad she had run before). It wasn't so...
According to Facebook, our online friendship began in February of 2016. I can't exactly remember what prompted our connection, but Bec Robbie, a native Australian, was living in Thailand at the time running an e-commerce business with her husband, and I was getting ready to launch my digital marketing academy for service-based entrepreneurs. I was very curious about her life.
We were in different areas of online business, so working together wasn't really in the cards at the time, but I was fascinated that she was living abroad completely independent of having a regular job where you go to an office every day.
I was still working as an actuary (fancy word for insurance statistician), but I was banking on my May 2016 launch to be the catalyst for leaving my 25 year career (and that's exactly what happened).
Fast forward to 2019. Bec has since divulged of her e-commerce venture and is now teaching online business owners to...

For those of you who don’t know me, I used to be a Zumba instructor, a very zealous one at that! Oh I know what you might be thinking, what in the world does Zumba have to do with starting a business? But now that I’ve...
According to her official bio, "Lanette Pottle is an award-winning life & business strategist who helps women solopreneurs increase their impact and grow their bottom line without losing their minds."
And I wholeheartedly agree with that description of Lanette and how she does life and business.
Funny thing? My family is vacationing in Maine this week, where Lanette lives, and we happen to be meeting for the first time in person and having brunch together on the same day that this blog post gets published and emailed to my subscribers. Watch for a photo that I'll surely post on Instagram.
So without further ado, let's explore these 7 truths.

I hear it all the time… women who launch their own business because they dream of gaining time freedom but end up drowning in tech and tasks that eat up every waking moment, zap their energy and steal...
